Olivia
|
Olivia Lufkin was originally the lead singer of the 3 girl group D&D. Her
singing talents were recognized by the popular producer Tetsuya Komuro (aka TK, the
producer of the likes Amuro Namie), and Olivia embarked on a solo career.
The style of her songs changed from upbeat, poppy, dance tunes to a more of a
rock/pop style of music. While several of her songs, in my opinion, are very
good, I don't think the style fits her singing very well. Her singing career
never really took off, which is a disappointment because she really does have
a good singing voice.

Puffy
|
Self desribed as "Nouvell Vintage Rock", Puffy has become well known for their wacky,
simplified dances as much as their singing ability. Since coming onto the JPop scene
a few years ago, Puffy has developed quite a following. Thier sound ranges from pop-ish
rock tunes, to a more vintage 70's rock sound (think The Who or the Beatles). They can
be seen not only on the various music shows and in concert, but also on their weekly
music/variety show "Pa Pa Pa Pa Puffy"
