Glay
|
Glay is another one of those Japanese Rock (JRock) bands that has been around
for several years. They have a basic rock sound to them and, to me, their style
has matured.
They can also be considered "Visual Rock", which is sort of a term for bands who're
known as much for their style (clothing, hair, etc) as their music

Globe
|
Globe consists of Tetsuya Komuro (keyboard/guitar), Keiko (singer), and Marc Panther
(singer/rapper). Their style of music is a mix of dance, techno, and rap. The music
often consists of catchy background beats mixed with piano/synthesizer (TK is an
excellent piano player).
While Keiko is generally the main singer, Marc Panther often backs her up with a
mix of singing and his own style of "rap". Marc Panther, for a lot of people, is
either the reason you like Globe, or can't stand them. Personally, I think his
singing/rapping often adds a good extra piece to the songs.

Hamasaki Ayumi
|
Originally a model, Ayumi broke into JPop a few years ago, and
has quickly gotten better and better. Her voice talents have vastly improved since she
started her career in music. With a sound that is a bit of a mix of dance and techno,
Ayumi has gained popularity. And whether it comes from her days as a model or not,
it seems like everytime you see Ayumi (on TV, in a magazine, or in a video) she has a
COMPLETELY different "look". Fans beware though, she has about 3 zillion remix albums
out there. :)
