Today started off by getting up at about 5 in the morning. We had to do this because we were on the first train to Hiroshima (at 6:10 in the morning). I decided to do this because I could drop my luggage at the hotel and not have to worry about it for the rest of the day.
So, an hour and fifteen minutes later, we arrived in Hiroshima. A short cab ride and we were at our hotel. Of course, it was too early to check in, so we just left our bags there. It was a good thing I went there first because I had apparently reserved the wrong type of room (1 queen instead of 2 singles). I don't know if Ted would have been able to get this solved by himself (language barrier).
But, it wasn't too difficult. So with that all cleared up, we headed off to get something quick for breakfast. We found a Starbucks just down the street, so we stopped there for a muffin and a frapaccino.
After breakfast, it was time to split for the day. Ted was going to check out a few things that I really didn't want to see in Hiroshima, and I headed back to the train station. I hopped on a shinkansen back to Osaka and in an hour and 45 minutes later I was back in Osaka. I transferred to the local train and headed to the Osaka-jo station.
I REALLY wish I would have brought my camera. (I didn't because I thought it would've been too much of a hassle to deal with in the concert.) But, I would've loved to take some pictures of the crowd around the hall waiting for the concert.
There were food and goods stalls EVERYWHERE outside of the concert hall. People all dressed up in MM coats, headbands etc. While I was there, I had to check out what concert goods they were selling.
I started to buy a souvenir for Jesse, but decided better of it and proceeded to buy him 1 of everything I bought. (Appx. $200ish later).
The concert was SO much fun! I had such a great seat. I was on the arena floor about 15 rows from the stage (the ticket said 23rd row, but the were missing some). The crowd was pretty wild.
And I can say, for a fact, that Nacchi looks just as cute in person as on TV. That was just tooo much fun. I hope I can go to more Japanese concerts in the future!!
After the concert, it was another hour and 45 minute train ride back to Hiroshima.
When I got back, Ted and I found a small family run okonomiyake restaurant (in the middle of this like 10 story building with a ton of okonomiyake restaurants in it). That was really delicious and enjoyable. The daughter of the owner spoke some English, so she took very good care of us. (And the food tasted great too!!).
It was such a long day, and I was thoroughly exhausted from it, but I would do it again in a heartbeat.
