Today we headed to Kobe. Our original plan had been to to wander around the city and check out
all the sites in the city, but we basically finished doing all of that in about 1/2 a day. I dunno if its just me, but Kobe seems to be a smaller city than I imagined it would be. Maybe, there were just fewer places I wanted to see. Ted had wanted to see this monument that was done in dedication to the Kobe earthquake that happened a few years ago, but when we got to the place it was supposed to be, it was a construction site >_<. So much for that idea. We checked out Kobe's famous "Harbor Town", but I have a feeling it would've been a lot more exciting at night. During the day it just seemed like an old amusement part (old as in the 1960's). We had planned to ride the ropeway up to the top of one of the hills/mountains in Kobe, but we got there too late (it closed at like 5pm). I guess we'll have to try that tomorrow. It looks like it'd have a pretty decent view. But, one good thing did happen today. I was able to try some Kobe beef. Oh my god, that was good. So tender......
