FAMILY REUNION

*FAMILY REUNION 2007!!*

UPDATE:

We are still planning for a family reunion in 2007. So everyone mark your calanders for the summer of 2007 (yes, I know that we have only begun 2006 and we don’t have calendars yet for 2007). During our last visit to San Benito, I have heard some vailuable requests about our family reunion. I have heard requests about if we are going to have it during the middle of the summer we need to think about doing it indoors rather than outside or have it closer to the end of summer so that it’s not so hot outdoors. And I also heard about having our family reunion in Vegas! ha!! I do love all the ideas and have entertained the thoughts of having it in Vegas. But, here is the absolute truth.

1. Tutie and I are trying to keep costs down as much as possible, being is that we want EVERYONE to attend and if we were to have it indoors it would cost way too much per person, per household. Plus not only the cost of the reunion but, you have travel expenses and lodging expenses as well.

2. Having it at the end of Summer- Having it at the end of summer would not be a good idea, reason being is that children start school so early, we want it before school starts. And it wouldn’t make it easy for people to attend.

3. Vegas- Though, I revel in the thought of having it in Vegas, we would never see anyone! we would all be out gambling and being apart. The reason for a reunion is to have all family members getting to see each other again and talk about what’s new in our lives and enjoy each other’s company. Now, how could we do that in Vegas? and to think about the costs there! Ouch! Plus, Vegas is not a kid friendly place anymore, it’s turning back into the naughty Vegas again.

Though I am very grateful for the comments and ideas, I will check into different options for the family reunion. I will check into funjet to see what kind of packages they offer for family reunions. I know for a fact that when you book an all incluisve package of 20 people or more the cheaper the cost. and of course we would have pretty much the whole flight booked. So, I will check into it today. And I will talk with Tutie about having the reunion indoors instead of outdoors if this funjet thing doesn’t work out. See what happens when I get comments and great ideas from people, things actually happen. ha!!

Hello everyone I have started this web site because me (Monica) and Lupita are planning a Family Reunion for 2007. In this website, I am going to put plans and ideas about the family reunion in hopes that everyone will join in and help plan and give ideas on how to make this a really great family reunion. Plus, this is not only for the family reunion but this is also here for everyone to come to this site on a regular basis so you can write to everyone, leave messages and whatever else. I hope you find this site a user friendly site.

Now, about the family reunion, We are having the reunion in San Benito because most of the Rodriguez family is already there. So please write and leave messages on this site to keep in touch and voicing other opinions. Or just to let me know on how to run this site. HA,HA!!

UPDATE:
Hey everyone, For the Family Reunion of 2007. we are probably going to forego the reunion t-shirts for the next year. It’s just not fitting into the budget. Lupita came up with neat design. One way that we thought of is that everyone can buy their own color shirt for their family and put a design on it yourself if you want to. Believe me if you do not like this idea Please, Please let me know. You are not going to hurt my feelings. This is what this blog is for is to let me know about your ideas for the reunion. However we will try very hard to be able to afford the t-shirts. but, that is not engraved in stone yet.
