Welcome to my Tatara page. Tatara is also a still living seishi of Byakko, and keeper of the shinzaho of Byakko.

***SPOILER WARNING*** (for tv ep.42 and on)
Tatara was put under a spell by fellow seishi Subaru to keep him young so as to better protect the shinzaho, although the spell only works within the confinds of Byakko Hall. It turns out that Tatara is leader of the Byakko seishi and was in love with Byakko No Miko, Oosugi Suzuno. He and Suzuno were parted from eachother when Suzuno called Byakko as He could not fulfill their wish to stay together. Tatara was forcibly taken from Byakko Hall by Nakago in efforts to procure the Byakko shinzaho from him. As he is away from Byakko Hall, Tatara's body begins to age...to catch up to the hundred years of aging its missed. Tatara exhibits impressive powers over plants and helps defeat Miboshi's first assault. But, in the process, Tatara is hurt beyond his aging body's abilities and dies soon after. At the same time, Suzuno, in the real world, is old and dies at the same moment. It is then that Tatara is able to cross the dimensions and time to be reunited with a young Suzuno in the afterlife and become finally happy.
