Well, I have to admit that this is here mostly because Nyosei was included in the previous map, but I do intend to tell a little about this country.

Nyosei is an isolated island populated solely by women. If a man were to wander into their country and be captured, he would have a couple of different options (none of which were up to him of course):

1) be killed as a warning for others	2) be killed and used in wine or other useful products	3) have his eyes cut out and be used as a breeder for the women.

The Nyosei part of the manga was cut from being in the TV series due to this kind of subject matter.

Where Nyosei fits into the story...
Miaka-tachi happened into Nyosei when traveling to Hokkan to find the Genbu shinzaho (around episode 30 or so). It was at this time that Chiriko realized where they were and told all the men to dress in drag...but then his seishi symbol disappeared and he forgot why they had to disguise themselves. This of course, led to a few choice humorous problems, like. . .

Mitsukake being 1) an ugly woman, and 2) immediately recognized as a man, and 3) captured	onna-Tamahome and Miaka sharing a room (they're both women, so it's alright, right?)	onna-Tamahome getting hit-on by a friendly Nyosei woman
. . . and so on. ^_^

If this story or situation sounds familiar...it might be. Since the Nyosei story was cut from the tv series, someone decided to add it in as an omake (comedic extra) at the end of the first OVA series. The omakes were quite funny and basically true to the theme of the Nyosei story (except for the boys deciding to all become breeders for the Nyosei women).
