Old News:

4-30-2001

I finished watching and checking over the tapes I got from LGA. They all seemed okay. There were two vid glithces in the zeta 5-8 tape during episode 6. One for about 3 secs and one for about 10 secs. Also one line you'll have to pause to read. Other than that, things looked fine. So they've been added to the list and are available for receiving via SASE from me.

4-26-2001

I received some new tapes from LGA. I have to go and watch them to make sure there's no problems first, but expect to see 3 new tapes available early next week. Zeta Gundam 5-8, Ai no Kusabi 1-2, and Phoenix: Karma Chapter/Samurai Troopers Gaiden 1-2.

3-26-2001

Okay...old titles removed and new ones added... Titles removed are: Chacha 17-20, Chacha 21-24, Maho Tsukai Tai! 1-4, Maho Tsukai Tai! 5-7, Maho Tsukai Tai! 8-10, Maho Tsukai Tai! 11-13, Hyper Police 14-17, Hyper Police 18-21, and Hyper Police 22-25. Titles added are: Hameln 21-24, Hameln 25/Hameln Movie+extras, Chacha 25-26, and Chacha 27-30. I did test to see if I could fit Chacha 25-26 on the same tape as Hameln 25/movie/extras and it didn't work. The Hameln stuff was 1:34 and that doesn't include the notes I'm goint to be adding at the end.

2-27-2001

Okay...giving people a one month warning... I'm going to be switching titles on 3-26-2001. Don't ask for new titles till they are put up. Titles to be removed are Chacha 17-20, Chacha 21-24, Hyper Police 14-17, Hyper Police 18-21, Hyper Police 22-25, Maho Tsukai Tai! TV 1-4, Maho Tsukai Tai! TV 5-7, Maho Tsukai Tai! TV 8-10, and Maho Tsukai Tai! TV 11-13. 3-26-2001 is your last chance to request them.
New title to be added will include but not be limited to Hameln 21-24, Hameln 25/Hameln Movie (with extras), Chacha 25-26 (I'm doing it how they were on DVD...only DVD with only 2 eps. If it fits with the last Hameln tape, I'll combine them.), and Chacha 27-30. Soon I'll have the first Mito tape done. I'll be continuing to do more Chacha. And eventually I'll have the first CH '91 tape done... I'm also supposed to be receiving some tapes from Gary of LGA, including the last two Mellowlink tapes. Hopefully I'll have those soon.

1-29-2001

Okay...I'm back and able to start mailing out tapes again. Thanks for the kind words from people... I've finished a number of tapes of stuff and will be updating the status page later today about what was finished... It's taking longer to copy stuff now that I can't use the JVC 7100U VCR :( But I should still be able to keep up with stuff...I may have the VCR looked at...dunno. It's around 6 years old and has had a good life. Anyway...everything should be back to normal shortly.

1-9-2001

I won't be able to mail out any tapes for about 2 or so weeks due to medical problems... I should still be able to answer e-mails, though. I'll see if I can mail out a few tapes tomorrow before I have to stop. And I'll still be able to copy the tapes and so forth...just means a lot of tapes will all be sent out after I recover.

12-14-2000

There are going to be new USPS postage rates starting Jan 7th: full listing on http://new.usps.com/ratecase/newrates.pdf

What this mean is that any new request being sent to me starting NOW will need to include the usps return postage. I'll try my hardest to get all packages I currently have mailed out before then so no new postage is required for them. But any new requests MUST have the correct return postage for the new mail rate. Please ask me if you have any questions.

12-6-2000

I've noticed recently that one of my VCRs seems to be going bad. Specifically, my JVC 7100U SVHS deck seems to be doing so. I'd appreciate it if everyone who got tapes from me in the last few months with the 3 sticker on it would e-mail me telling me if they had any problems with those tapes. Please include your request number and what kind of tape it was. What was happening with the VCR seems to be that it wasn't laying down the timecode on the tape. So it would record for 2 hours and if you rewound, the VCR would not see the timecode so it would not move the clock display. I tried to check the tapes I hadn't sent out already, but if I missed any, I'm sorry.

11-6-2000

Okay...I'm gonna be really silly here and will just go and offer all of them. I'm probably gonna cause my mailman a heart attack. (poor guy) Sooo....As of now, Hameln 17-20, Chacha 9-12, and Chacha 13-16 aren't being offered. New titles available are Chacha 17-20, Chacha 21-24, Maho Tsukai Tai! TV 1-4, Maho Tsukai Tai! TV 5-7, Maho Tsukai Tai! TV 8-10, Maho Tsukai Tai! TV 11-13, Hyper Police 14-17, Hyper Police 18-21, Hyper Police 22-25, and Gundam: Char's Counterattack.

11-1-2000

Welp, it's time again to change titles...I'm going to be removing Chacha 9-12, Chacha 13-16, and Hameln 17-20...I'll "probably" be adding Chacha 17-20, Chacha 21-24, Maho Tsukai Tai! TV 1-4, Maho Tsukai Tai! TV 5-7, Maho Tsukai Tai! TV 8-10, Maho Tsukai Tai! TV 11-13, Hyper Police 14-17, Hyper Police 18-21, and Hyper Police 22-25...or some subset of those... Note: they are not available right now so don't ask for them...just giving warning as to which titles will most likely be available. There will also be another one or two tapes from LGA available soon...I need to test them first. So no new tapes available right now, but within a week, there will be.

8-22-2000

Okay...added the status page. It's here. I'll add any requests I have sitting at home still...others that I've already sent out won't be added. Let me know if it makes sense.

8-22-2000

Sorry it's taken so long to switch titles, but I was hoping to have a few other things ready...they're not ready yet, so I'm going to just go ahead and change titles and then offer them next time around. Anyway, new titles to replace Chacha 1-4, Chacha 5-8, and the first Detective Conan Movie are Chacha 9-12, Chacha 13-16, and Hameln 17-20. I also just got in Zeta Gundam 21-24 and a tape with a new version of Bronze and Desperate Love 1989 on it from LGA. It's the same anime Bronze, but updated subtitles. I'm also removing the Mamotte Shugogetten! TV 1-2/CH '91 TV 7 tape.

Also note that I've stopped using the Lina, Gourry, and Amelia stickers from Slayers. I'm now using little numbers on each of the tapes. 1 through 5 from best to worst deck respectively. I'm also going to be adding a status page for the tape requests...I'll try to get that up soon. It'll basically list when I receive a request in the mail, if there's any problems with it, and when I ship it out.

BTW, I have one request which I got sent back to me from the post office in a ripped up package withtout the contents and a letter from the post office appologizing for it messed up or whatnot. I have no idea whose request it was since they didn't send back that part of it. Anyway, if it's been way overdue for your request, please tell me. It was in one of those packages I say not to use...the non-bubblewrap, post-office-purchased recycled cardboard/paper envelope...

6-5-2000

Two new titles from LGA. Zeta Gundam 1-4 and Macross 7 TV 1-4.

4-6-2000

Okay...here's some new titles. Chacha 1-4, Chacha 5-8, and the first Detective Conan Movie (The Timed Skyscraper). These are all from 3NA. Hameln 9-12, Hameln 13-16, and Hyper Police 10-13 will be removed. Before you ask, Hameln 17-20 is finished but not being added because it looks like it may be a while before 21-25 is done and I'd prefer to have people wait now for 17-20 than having to wait a really long time for 21-25 to get finished.

2-18-2000

I added a page to list my preferences of tapes. Check them out here. Also, expect some delays since I was bogged down with Katsucon VI just recently. I'm back up and stuff should be back on track.

2-7-2000

Welp, I'm adding one tape I got from LGA a while ago but hadn't been able to check over till recently. It has Take The X Train/Twilight Q 1-2 on it. I'll probably adding some more tapes in about a month or two... Next will definitely be including the first Detective Conan Movie and Chacha 1-8. Maybe some other surprises. Remember, old titles usually get removed when I add new ones, so the Hameln and HP tapes won't be available anymore.

12-9-1999

Okay... 3 new titles are ready. HP 10-13, Hameln 9-12, and Hameln 13-16. I'm removing CT 21-24, Hameln 5-8, CH '91 vol 2, CH '91 vol 3, and CM 1-4. I'll probably be adding a few more titles in the next few weeks but no promises. I've still not heard back any reports of bad copies where I was able to find a VCR at fault, so I'm still using the stickers on the tapes. Please check the tapes and tell me if there are any problems. I'd like to know if one of my decks is dying and if so which one. It is obviously not a problem that happens often but it does seem to be happening.

12-7-1999

Welp... Just about ready to put some new titles up for request. So for, I'll be offering Hameln 9-12, Hameln 13-16, and HP 10-13 for sure. I'll be removing CT 21-24, Hameln 5-8, CH '91 vol 2, and CH '91 vol 3 for sure as well. I want to offer the Detective Conan Movie 1 but have been waiting on translations for the extras at the end of the movie for a while now. May finally give up. They're supposed to be done but... I may just hold off and add that later by itself but I'm not sure. I may also offer Chacha vol 1 (1-4).

11-9-1999

KKNJ has been picked up by the Right Stuf. Support our domestic companies in buying their release of this great show when it comes out. Soo.... I've removed KKNJ from offering it for distro and won't offer any more. New tapes I have in to offer now are Mamotte Shugogetten! TV 3-6 and the God Bless Dancougar Movie. More Hameln and Hyper Police will be coming shortly with maybe some other stuff. Remember that a number of titles are removed at the same time.

10-25-1999

Note: Some people's requets will have some unlabeled tapes which is not for the Mitsu HS-U770 or Sony VCRs because I just recently implemented this. This only really means something if you've send your tapes in after 10-19-1999.

10-19-1999

First, I got in two new tapes from LGA. Bewitching Nozomi 2-3 and To-Y/On Your Mark/Macross Flashback 2012/Macross - A Future Chronicle. Next, since I've had a few people have tapes which were messed up (tracking or some weird problem like that) and I can't figure out which VCR is causing it, I'm going to be stamping which VCR recorded which tapes...meant to do that a while ago but was lazy. A Lina stamp means it's the Mitsu U-82. An Amelia stamp is the JVC 5200U. A Gourry stamp is the JVC 7100U. If there is no stamp, it is either the Sony or the Mitsu HS-U770 decks. If it was from SVHS source, then it was on the Mitsu HS-U770 deck. If it was from LD source, check the tape and if your request number is listed first, it is the sony deck... if it's listed last it's the mitsu deck. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.

10-8-1999

BTW, in case you weren't sure, I am pretty much moved in. I decided not to set up forwarding since I can still pick up mail from my old address. Then I don't have to worry about stuff getting lost. I'll set up forwarding later, but for now I won't. Anyway...feel free to make requests again and so forth.

10-1-1999

I'm adding a new tape. It's Mamotte Shugogetten! TV 1-2 and City Hunter '91 vol 4 (episode 7)

9-22-1999

I've moved. I'll set up forwarding to my new address. I'll still get packages which arrive at my old address till I do that. What this means is I'm not copying anything till I get my stuff all moved and set up at the new place. I hope to get this all done by the weekend. Also, I was told it would take about 7 to 9 days for the mail forwarding to take effect. So anyone sending the tapes to the old address after I turn that in will get their packages to me delayed by about 7 to 9 days. After that period, any tapes sent to the old address will be delayed getting to me by about 5 days. I suspect it'll take less time because I'm just moving 15 mins away, but they were probably giving numbers if I moved to somewhere else completely. Anyway, please check the new acceptance message for the new address. Also, some people have not been following the rules. When I say use a bubblewrap packages, that means exactly that. If you don't know what that is, ask. Basically, think of a manila envelope lined with bubblewrap on the inside. Also, please do use the soft envelopes the USPS provides. Put the tapes inside that and your tapes will be pretty safe and the bubblewrap package can be easily reused.

9-10-1999

Gundam Wing tapes from distribution. Anime Village has the rights to the Gundam Wing TV series and the OVAs. Please support our commercial companies and buy commercial releasess.

8-16-1999

I got the KKNJ 1-4 and Child's Toy 21-24 tapes in on Saturday. I tested them and they look good. So they're now available for requests.

8-4-1999

Welp...I removed a few old titles and added some new ones. Sigh...Some stuff I wanted to add is not ready to add yet so I popped in some other stuff I that was ready. (I hope) Anyway, for everyone asking about Hameln, here it is. And don't worry. A lot more Hameln is coming along :) Note, the KKNJ and Child's Toy tapes aren't here yet so you can't request them. I just listed them so people knew they were going to be available soon. I'll update it when they do get here. I just couldn't wait any longer else everyone asking about Hameln would hang me :)

7-31-1999

I'll be adding Hameln and some other tapes this week. I was told I was being sent the KKNJ tape from Geofront anyway along with Child's Toy TV 21-24 so expect those being available soon as well. I'll probably be adding a few tapes at a time this time instead of all at once like usual.

7-16-1999

Okay, I'm now adding the Wing tapes I got from Jimaku Anime for distribution. I checked them over and they all seem fine. One small glich in one that was for about a second but no big deal. I'll be removing the 3NA/Loon Production/Geofront titles and replace them with new ones within a week or two. Sorry it's taken so long, but I was really hoping to wait on something before changing titles which doesn't seem to be happening. Note that I have no plans to offer Geofront's KKNJ at this point. Basically, I have committed to getting another friend's version of it and I don't like to get multiple copies of stuff. I may offer that other version but don't count on it.

7-9-1999

Welp, I just got in the rest of the Gundam Wing TV series from Jimaku Anime and I said I'd distribute some of it for him. I'm going to check over the tapes first to make sure they're all okay and so forth. But basically, I'll probably offer the episodes starting where Anime West left off which is episode 25 to the end I believe.

6-29-1999

Sorry it's taken so long but I've been very busy recently. Anyway, I added the new LGA tape that has Lesson XX, Fish in the Trap, and their new version of Cathexis on it. Note that Leson XX is from tape source since the LD/DVD is not available for it. Also, I've been very busy and not making it to the post office as often as I'd like...sorry about the delay in sending back tapes to people.

6-21-1999

I got my new Sony SVHS deck I was waiting for. Now I'm switching back to using all of the original masters LGA sent me. It seems to track the audio on them perfectly and the video output is better than any of my other decks, too. So requests should look a lot better now. Also, I'll add the new tape they just sent me to the offer list tomorrow. I just want to check and make sure the tape is okay and such. I also need to write down the title, but if I recall, it was Lesson XX and a remaster of Cathexis.
Also, note that now I have a new policy regarding which VCRs I use to copy the tapes. If I get sent a tape less than HiFi quality, I'm going to use my Mitsubishi HS-U770 SVHS deck or JVC-5300 SVHS deck as the recording deck. I don't need to mess up any more VCRs with bad tapes.

6-21-1999

ATTENTION: Whoever was wanting me to send them the Lupin: Tokyo Crisis special for their fest/convention somewhere in Canada via FEDEX, please contact me. I can't access my account to get the FEDEX information. The tape is done and ready to send, but I don't have access to any of my latest e-mail files or other data. Send e-mail to asudem@alde.com

6-21-1999

My e-mail address of asudem@alde.com is not active right now. I believe it will be down till July 1st or around then. Till then, e-mail me at asudem@chipsworld.llamas.net (which is where all my e-mail is forwarded to anyway) and I'll respond from an account I decide to use in the meantime. Sorry for any inconvience.

5-20-1998

New link for the Yawara on DVD support page. It's moved to http://jei.astraweb.com/yawaraondvd

4-19-1999

The Black Jack Movie is removed from distribution because it's coming out commercially.

3-31-1999

okay...I got the first 3 tapes back all copied and okay. I've checked the FSS/Bewitching Nozomi 1 tape and it works. I've checked the Windaria tape and it works. I haven't tested the Blackjack Movie tape yet, but presume it works. I'll test that tonight. Assume it works if I don't post that it doesn't tomorrow. The video on the copies still look good because a TBC was used. The audio is now playable on my good SVHS deck. So it should be okay now :)

3-26-1999

Sigh....I THOUGHT the Lupin III: Tokyo Crisis tape replacement worked...it did for the first few mins, but about 4 or 5 mins in, I noticed the same sound glitches...less this time, but still there. I'm going to have that tape, along with the other 3 tapes copied from SVHS to SVHS using a TBC so I can copy them for people. I will also probably be getting a new SVHS deck in the next few months if you want to wait for that to happen. It may not be till around Otakon.

3-23-1999

Ugh...was starting to copy the Windaria for some people and noticed it had a sound problem. It didn't show up at first but I was able to hear it later. Sorry about that if you've requested it. I'm going to try to resolve the problem for those of you who've sent in the tape. But that means I have 3 tapes that shouldn't be requested right now: Windaria, Bewitching Nozomi/FSS, and Blackjack Movie. I have actually gone through and watched the other tapes so they should be okay.

3-22-1999

Welp...went up and visited the LGA folk. I got a replacement master of Lupin III: Tokyo Crisis that works on my VCR. The other two tapes I wasn't able to fix yet. I'm thinking that I might try to have a friend copy them using a Time Base Corrector and some good VCRs...will see how well that turns out. It should be almost exactly the same as the master. The other solution I have is to get a new SVHS deck...been thinking about that, but will see...

3-15-1999

I also found out the Blackjack Movie has the same problem described just below. I forgot to check this tape since I had already had it. I guess I watched it on one of my different VCRs.

3-12-1999

I was testing the tapes I got from LGA last night and apparently my good play deck (the Mitsubishi U-82) doesn't like to track the HiFi on three of the tapes. (Bewitching/FSS, Lupin III: Tokyo Crisis) I'm going to see how well the output is from my other Mitsubishi or get a friend to run them off for me or drop them off from distribution. So please note that copies of these two tapes may take a little bit of extra time to get done. Also, I'm working with LGA to resolve the problem perminantly.

3-11-1999

Lupin Gang Anime tapes are now here. Go ahead and and start requesting them.

3-8-1999

Again, I'm changing tapes. The old titles are not available anymore. However, I'll be having a change of policy soon. I'm going to soon start distributing some tapes for LGA and will keep offering them constantly or until LGA wants them removed, unlike what I normally do. Those tapes haven't arrived yet, but they'll be added when I get them. For now, check out the new tapes I have to offer. I'm trying to keep the tapes mostly full, but I don't have that many options right now. Note that FY OVA II ep 6 is about 55 mins long so FY OVA II 4-6 is a full tape pretty much.

11-24-1998

Welp...I'm changing titles finally. The old titles are no longer available to be requested. Please look below to see which titles they are. Note that I listed 6 titles instead of my normal 5. You can request 6 titles if you really want to. Also, I've been able to copy stuff like normal, but I've been having a tough time getting to the post office even once a week with how late I've been staying at work. Sooo...please be considerate if it takes a little bit of time to ship stuff out to people.

11-16-1998

Yes, I'm still here. No, there are no new titles yet. When that happens, they will be listed here on the homepage. Yes, new titles will be up soon. (this week or next) Sorry for the delay. I'm still undecided which of them I am going to offer right now. I'll probably go for a mix of stuff.

6-14-1998

I got the new tapes in. I removed all the old titles and have added Rayearth II 5-8, Child's Toy TV 17-20, both by Geofront. I also added Maho Tsukai Tai 1-4, Maho Tsukai Tai 5-6/Sakura Taisen 1-2, and City Hunter TV 1-4, all three by 3NA. Also, Team Anime (baka bakka) is doing well in the rc5 contest. Please join our team and add your support!

5-13-1998

4-23-1998:

STILL OPEN. Apparently some people thought I was closed because I went to a convention. Nope...I've been and am still open... BTW, expect the current titles to be removed and some new titles to be added in the next few weeks.

4-2-1998:

Convention: I'm leaving to drive to Anime Central '98 tonight and won't be back till late this Sunday, so don't expect any e-mail responses from me or packages to get sent out during that time. (or even tapes to be copied)

3-9-1998:

OPEN, NEW TITLE. Okay...Finished recovering...I also forgot to add the Please Save My Earth movie to the distribution list so it is now.

3-3-1998:

STILL CLOSED. I'm still recovering from the convention. Also, I need to copy a buncha stuff really quickly so won't be taking requests for a few more days...I should be up again end of this week or beginning of next week. I removed BH OVA 1-3, FY OVA 1-3, and CH Special: Goodbye My Sweetheart from the distribution list and added the On Your Mark/FY Music Crip/FY OVA II 1-2 tape and the Magical Knights Rayearth II 1-4 tape. Very soon (about 2 weeks) I'll have the Yawara Special available hopefully.

2-12-1998:

CLOSED. Sorry, but I gotta stop taking requests for at least a week or two. I am helping run a convention (Katsucon IV this Feb 27th through March 1st and need to work on getting stuff subtitled and whatnot in preperation, so won't have much time to do copying...I'll resume either when I get stuff finished for the convention or after the convention.

2-4-1998:

NEW TITLE. Sorry about the delay with Hameln TV, but it's finally available for distribution.

1-19-1998:

NEW TITLE. Wheee....got a new title for 'ya all to choose from now. Hyper Police tape with episodes 1-5 is available now :) Hameln TV 1-4 will be available in a few days if you want to wait to get that.

12-8-1997:

OPEN. Welp... I'm back up and stuff now. I will not have Hyper Police 1-4 available till early next year, but it's done. However, I should also have a buncha stuff from Geofront coming in shortly, (a few weeks) I dropped the FY TV 37-52 from the distribution as I said I would do. If there are enough people asking to get it, I'll put it back on for a little while longer.

12-01-1997:

STILL CLOSED. I'm still trying to copy some stuff for some friends. It should not take more than a week. I'm not going to offer the FY TV since I have not been getting many requests for them anymore. Also, I'm going to probably add some Hyper Police TV eps in a few weeks as 3NA finishes off the first tape.

11-20-1997:

STILL CLOSED. I'm going to take a break and work on the backlog of tapes I told some friends I'd copy. Distribution will continue after I get that finished. I estimate about 1 or 2 weeks, currently. If you need something for a club showing or fest or whatnot, please tell me. Also, a few days ago, some of my e-mail was lost due to a hard drive crash. If you have e-mailed me and not gotten a response, please do so again.

11-11-1997:

CLOSED till after this weekend. I'm going to Anime Weekend Atlanta so will not be able to copy any tapes while I'm gone.

10-26-1997:

Tape added: City Hunter Special: "Goodbye My Sweetheart" SVHS from Anime West

10-10-1997:

Tape added: Bakuretsu Hunter OVA 1-3 from 3NA

9-18-1997:

Good News: My Mitsubishi SVHS deck has been fixed and I got have it back now. So that means I can start distributing again :)
New titles from 3NA will be added soon.
