Step by step SASE request:
Note: You can do this in any logical order...
You may find that one way saves more time than another... I just tried
to list it in an order which makes sense to those not familar with SASE...
Note. There are two sets of instructions. One for using priority mail and
one for using book/media rate. Choose the appropiate one for you.
Priority mail instructions
1) You go and buy the tapes you want.
(any brand, but see my preferences)
2) You unwrap the tapes and label each one
with your request number and title of the anime you want on them.
(either use tape or the actual label or whatever. It just has to stay on.
I prefer lables on the spine.)
3) You go and buy a bubblewrap mailer
envelope. Do not use the recycled cardboard mailer
the post office sometimes sells or plain bubblewrap by itself.
Of course, if you have these materials on hand, use those by all means.
No need to time and waste money getting new ones.
4) You get an 8.5x11" piece of paper and
put your name, e-mail address, mailing address, what you are requesting, and
most importantly, your request number. This can be hand written or printed.
5) get two priority mail envelopes from
the post office. They are free. See the picture.
6) Address one priority mail
envelope "from you to me".
(note that this means from your address and to my address -
can use address sticker for priority mail)
7) Label the other priority mail
envelope "from me to you".
8) Put the correct postage using stamps
on each envelope. (do not use metered mail postage)
See this page for postage rates.
Note: this is a general guideline. Please weigh your package to make sure.
9) Place the tapes inside the bubblewrap
envelope.
10) Place the tapes (now surrounded by
bubblewrap) inside the priority mail envelope. (labeled to me from you)
11) Place the 8.5x11" piece of paper
and the priority mail envelope (labeled to you from me) inside the
first envelope alongside the tapes.
12) Go to the post office and mail the
package.
13) Meanwhile, the package arrives at
my house and I copy the tapes and send them back to you.
14) You receive the tapes so go and
enjoy them :)
